Yes, this site is VERY old, I have big plans to update it (I have my new site set up but I have yet to migrate all this old stuff over), I'm afraid my priorities are with the Dogsbody Hosting and Camberley Skaters sites at the moment.

Sun Cobalt Package Update

Amoungst other things I am the owner of a number of Sun Cobalt devices, there is a large community of users and even the Sun Cobalt support staff have set up their own website where they publish enhancements to the machines without any warranty. The major problem with this site is that there is no easy way of knowing if there are any new packages on the site without checking it all the time.

Anyway, the long and the short of it is that I had already written a script that checks webpages for updates and so I though I would combine that and a few mailing list's to let people sign up to recieve an e-mail when specific machine pages were updated on the site.

Since launching this many people have come back asking why I don't monitor the official Sun Cobalt patch site as well. Some people that have Raq XTR's or Qube 3's automatically get a notification via Sun Cobalt's 'BluelinQ' application but it's true that users of older systems don't have this. So, I have now added this funcionality too and the script now checks the Sun Cobalt patch download site too.

Please give me any feedback on the service.
